Today I'm opening my old note book of past ebay auctions for you. I started it in late 2005 and want to show you a few pics from January 2006 – December 2006. That year was very important for me as a beadmaker (maybe also in life, I'm sure that goes together) and you'll see, there's still a bit of 2006 in my 2010 beads. Enjoy that little journey in the past.
In 2005 I stopped selling my beads at local craft shows and started selling on ebay, which caused a big change for my way of working with glass, because I had more freedom to do what I want instead of focusing on custom orders.Jan. 2006 – June 2006
The marble beads: I made them for a while for a silver smith here in my city. He was completly crazy about them and ordered them in a certain size and color scheme, which frustrated me and was no fun at all. That's why I slowly stopped to work with him and didn't want to make any marble beads at all anymore. As you might have noticed, after 4 years now, I'm over that trauma and have much fun in doing them again.
Just a fun lentil set
Oh yeah, my "Woodstock" beads. LOVE PEACE AND HAPPINESS, I was so excited while I made them. I'm a real hippie at heart. And that set was one of the first set I made just in opaque colors and that opened my mind to all the possibilities of playing with glass in a heartbeat. I felt it's like painting a picture.

There they are: my first satellites! White opaque base with detailed black stringer work and etched.
Satellites #2: I rememer that I had to make that set twice.The first one I sold on ebay and the second one for a friend, because she missed the auction and fell so in love with this set. Usually I don't reproduce anything, but people I love might be an exception. I also made a big lentil focal for her in my fav color coral and sent it with this set as a gift. Funny thing about that: I never saw her wearing this set, but very often with the coral satellite lentil.
July 2006 – August 2006

At that time I mostly made sets and not many focals, because I had a hard time holding that big amount of glass and health problems with my arms.

My first fishes painted with stringer work. I always loved water, the sea, fishes, and all about that. The underwater world offers a lot of colors and things to dream about. And I love sushi (that's why I called that set Hoso Maki).Sept. 2006 – Dec. 2006

This bead sold for more than 100 US$ – back in the good old times. Also now my stringer work is much more detailed I like the simplicity in this bead.

Similar to the "Lost Episonde set #1" but round, with red and opaque.
I loved these! And I remember that I just bought my lightbox. I still use the same one, it's so much easier to take good photos with it.

And then I made my first two "Indian Elephants" at the end of 2006. I made sketches before and if you look at my elephant beads now they changed a lot. Fun to look at that prototype again.
I guess I liked to make lentils at that time, I don't used that shape very often anymore.
