163 spacers later...

I turned the bead I showed you yesterday into a long necklace. I never made so many spacers before. It was fun though, because I had the final piece already in my mind, and it even turned out nicer.
The wire bead is inspired by Kerry Bogert's book "Totally twisted".

Looking forward to visit Canada this year

Have you heard of the Red Dear College in Alberta/Canada? I will be teaching there this summer, check out their schedul here.
And I made a new bead, this one is so colorful that it was hard to capture them all in a photography.
Size: 53 x 25 x 10mm

Blue like the sky

Pendant (size: 70 x 27 x 9mm)
I like to wear my focals on a long, basic chain, that way the bead is the centerpiece of my outfit and nothing is distracting from the detailed stringer designs on both sides. This bead has silver mesh inside, ladybugs and a zirkonia under the clear encasing.

After midnight

I'm wonderring how much did this painting influence my work?

When Marcy Lamberson did the interview with me for the ISGB "Glass Bead" magazin one of the question was what inspires me for my creations... and suddenly I remembered the Picasso painting that was hanging over my bed all of my childhood."Child with a Dove" - I did not like that picture at all, it's way to sad, and it scared me. I was always wondering what's wrong with her and the dove, and who cut off her hair.
Now I like that picture, but I can still see why I didn't get along with it as a kid. There are just to many "Why"s in it.

A smile somewhere

Funny, I've never seen that smiling face on that bead ...
until I uploaded those pictures. Do you see it too?
Now in my ETSY shop.

Totally twisted

What a surprise! Kerry Bogert sent me one of her books "Totally Twisted" this week that she just published (available on Amazon). It is a wonderful book about beautiful wire jewelry mixed with glass beads. My beads are also inside on page 52 - 55. Thank you Kerry, you did a great job.
I love the bracelet she made out of my beads. What do you think? Especially the purple wire bead gives it a special touch.
And I updated my ETSY shop with more beads and pendats. Enjoy.

Israel

I'm back home since last night, I had such a great time in Israel. Sarah and Alain, the hosts of my class, made a fantastic job by showing me around, bringing me to the best restaurants and making my class a wonderful time. Thank you both so much.
